Alexandra Morgan Carrasco is an American professional soccer player who is captain and striker with the San Diego Wave FC of the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL), the highest level of women's professional soccer in the United States, and the United States women's national soccer team.She co-captained the United States women's national soccer team alongside Carli Lloyd and Megan Rapinoe between 2018 until 2020. [8][98][9] Morgan was selected by the Western New York Flash at the top of the list in the 2011 WPS Draft. She had graduated from Berkeley early. Morgan also played for California Golden Bears. She made her professional debut at the club , and also helped the team win its league championship. She scored the winning goal against Canada during the 123rd minute of the semi-final game at the 2012 London Olympics. She was the second player in the United States to score 28 goals and 20 assists for 2012, making her the sixth and youngest prolific player in the United States to achieve 20 goals in one year. Following her selection as the U.S. Soccer Female Player of the year Morgan was also selected as a FIFA World Player of the Award finalist. Morgan played a role in helping the United States win the title at the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cups. She was also selected to the Dream Team. In 2019, Morgan won the Silver Boot.
